Artist's CV

Sarah E. Wood was born in Beckley, WV, in 1976. She spent her childhood in Louisville, KY, before receiving her BA at Maryland Institute College of Art in 1999 and her MFA in sculpture at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 2001. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.

Wood held her debut solo exhibition at P.S. 122, New York, NY, in 2008, and subsequently presented a two-person exhibition with David Kennedy-Cutler at Kate Werble Gallery in 2009, and a solo exhibition, Tilt, at Kate Werble Gallery in 2010.

Her work has been shown at galleries and institutions including Robert Miller Gallery, New York, NY; Art in General, New York, NY; Foxy Production, New York, NY; Grimm Gallery, Amsterdam, NL; François Ghebaly Gallery, Los Angeles, CA; University Galleries, Illinois State University, Normal, IL; Regina Gouger Miller Gallery, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA; and P.S. 122, New York, NY.

Wood has received reviews in publications including Artinfo, The Huffington Post, ArtFag City, and NY Art Beat.

Wood was awarded an outdoor sculpture commission as part of NADA Miami Beach in December 2010.
